Ball Drop Bash

Ring in the New Year with a bang at the NYE Ball Drop Bash in downtown Marquette. Make a night many don’t remember into one you’ll never forget—as we takeover Washington St. with Double Trouble DJs for a celebration and countdown featuring music, drinks, laser lights, dancing and more.


Heikki Lunta Winter Festival

January 19-20, 2018

Celebrate all things snow and SISU with the Heikki Lunta Festival in downtown Negaunee. Festivities include fireworks, winter sports, bonfires, beverages, live music, and more. Not to mention, Heikki Lunta hooked up with Stormy Kromer to create a special edition cap just for this year’s festival, and Cognition’s got a limited Heikki Lunta Brew in the works. Abominable Beer Fest

Suicide Ski Jump Tournament

The 131st Annual Ski Jump Tournament returns Tuesday, January 23rd for an evening of high energy and excitement. Warm up by the bonfire with food, beer, and a fireworks show hosted by the Ishpeming Ski Club. More info.


Noquemanon Ski Marathon

January 26-28, 2018

The Noque is back in 2018 for its 20th Anniversary, January 26-28. Whether you sign up to XC ski, snow bike, snowshoe or skijor, it’s going to be a good weekend for sure. Register.


Honey Bear Classic Cross Country Ski

Come out and enjoy the hot cider and cold weather. Saturday, February 10th, Ski or snowshoe the Noquemanon trails with family, friends, and friendly faces. This event is not an official race but there will be timers if you’d like to take on the 12k challenge. More info.

February 15-19, 2018

Polar Roll

In Marquette County winter means serious snow, serious fat biking, and serious fun. The Polar Roll is a 25 mile fat tire bike race featuring tons of awesome riders, excellent terrain, and a Bacon & Hugs Aid Station. Followed by an epic after party at Marquette Mountain. Ready to ride? Register.
