Noquemanon Cross Country Ski Trails

Home of the Noquemanon Ski Marathon, Marquette Country has nearly a dozen marked cross-country ski trails and several Nordic skiing events. Experience the natural beauty and wildlife of the Upper Peninsula on trails winding through the snow-covered forests along frozen rivers and lakes. Take the entire family on beginner-level trails or spend an entire day on challenging courses for advanced skiers.
Maps, rental equipment and tour services are readily available.
Trail Sense:
- No dogs on maintained trails
- Obey trail signs
- Yield track to faster skiers
- If you fall, clear the tracks as fast as possible and repair damage
- Be careful on downhill’s
- Do not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above
- If you carry it in, carry it out. Do not litter.

Anderson Lake Trail
Escanaba River State Forest: The new hiking/snowshoe trails are not groomed. For trail information call (906) 346-9201.
Blueberry Ridge Trail
Marquette, Michigan: Features no trail fee with a donation box at trail head. Blueberry Ridge Trail is groomed regulary for diagonal and skating stride. Diagonal skiing only on Crossroads, Husky, and Spartan. Diagonal and skating allowed on Wolverine, Superior, and Wildcat.
Kawbawgam Ski Trail
Chocolay, Michigan: 5 miles from US-41 Harvey to Kawbawgam Road, 2 miles into Lake Le Vasseur Public Access to Parking area. Note: Snowshoeing permitted alongside of Le Vasseur Loop, Please be courteous and do not ruin groomed tracks. For information, call (906) 249-1448.
Maple Lane Ski Area
Skandia, Michigan: Trail fee $2.00. Trail is groomed regularly with X-C Ski and Snowshoe rentals available. Snacks and indoor warming area. For trail and rental information call (906) 942-7662.
