Marquette is full of spine-chilling, bar crawling, frightening festivities in the eerie nights leading up to Halloween. Here’s some events that are sure to be Halloween hits & favorites:

10/26: You know what they say about idle hands, so be sure to get up, get out, and get your hands on some tickets to the UP Shakespeare Festival: Frankenstein at the Ore Dock. Tickets are on sale for $15 General Public, $13 Seniors & Students.

Ore Dock Brewing Company, Marquette, Michigan

10/27: Something uncanny is happening in the attic at the Ore Dock Brewing Company. It’s B.Y.O.T (toast) for a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. So come on out for a chilled craft beverage, and a cult classic. 

Vista Theater in downtown Negaunee, Michigan

10/28 & 10/29: Is it just me, or did I see you shiver with antici-pation, waiting for The Vista Theatre’s Rocky Horror Picture Show? Although there will not be a live performance this year, the Vista is offering a chance to catch this Halloween flick in their historic playhouse. Tickets are $3, or $10 for a group of 4. Popcorn and “funbags” will also be available for purchase, for audience partici-pation purposes.

10/29: Wait till you feast your eyes on this! You definitely don’t want to miss the downtown Halloween Spectacle. “A large-scale community outdoor performance of giant puppetry, pageantry, music, theatre, and dance.” The opening ceremony will commence at 6pm, the closing ceremony concludes at 7:45pm.

10/27-10/29: The Forest Roberts theatre has transmogrified, and something sinister is upon us. Guests are invited to attend the haunted theatre October 27th-29th.

Family Friendly Version (Rated PG):

October 29th 4-6pm

Parent supervision required for kids 7 and under

Older Kids/Adult Version (Rated PG 13):

October 27th, 28th, 29th 7-11pm

*Tickets are $5 for children/NMU students, $10 for adults, and $15 per family during family friendly times. Tickets will be sold at the door ONLY.
