Harvest Fest (Oct. 7) is full of fall family fun for all! With harvest themed activities, food trucks, drinks, live music, and more—there’s tons to explore on the 100 block of Baraga Ave. from 3-7:30pm. Face painting, chalk drawings, carousel rides, and a live petting zoo, to name a few!
Fall Color Hike
Peak season is almost upon us. The last week of September and first two weeks of October should be primetime for a fall color tour in Marquette County. Some of our favorite fall color spots that are awesome for all ages are Presque Isle, Sugarloaf, Thomas Rock, and the Iron Ore Heritage Trail.
The Marquette Fair Grounds are fun year round, but in October something eerie takes over! Experience 40 minutes of tractor drawn terror with spooky surprises throughout every twist and turn of this wild, Haunted Hayride. Tractors run after dark from Oct. 19-21.
No Fall trip is complete without seeing some waterfalls. And Marquette County just happens to home to over 77 falls itself. That may seem like a ton (because it is), but don’t worry, we’ve narrowed it down to four family-friendly falls that you can fit into a one day itinerary.
Feast your eyes on the Halloween Spectacle as downtown Marquette comes alive for a night of outdoor performances of giant puppetry, pageantry, music, and dance. October 28th is a sight and night (6-8pm) you won’t want to miss!
